Q1. – Can I really learn flower arranging by correspondence?

Answer. – Yes you can. We have developed a unique method of learning floral design by home study. Every lesson is clearly explained with detailed illustrated instructions for each step, an online video and a colour photo of each completed practical lesson.

Q2 – What kind of support will I get?

Answer-. Fay Chamoun, the Principal of the school has had over 45 years in the floristry industry and will work with you personally on a one-to-one basis and advise you on your progress and offer helpful advice or suggestions if needed. You can e-mail or post photos for each practical lesson. You can contact Fay with any questions you have during the course. This kind of personal support, will really help you with your floral designing.

Q3 – Is Your School Recognised?

Answer- Our school is a member with the International Accreditation and Recognition Council (IARC). This is an International Education Recognition System with participating colleges and universities in many countries throughout the world.
Floral Art School of Australia and International Floral Design School was established in 1972. We have students in Australia and many other countries around the world. 

Q4 – Do I need a certain standard of education?

Answer- Our course is written in simple everyday language, so it is very easy to understand.

Q5 – What type of people do the course?

Answer- All types of people from different age groups and backgrounds. Many would like to make a career change. Others enrol in the course for their own enjoyment of so they can create beautiful arrangements for their own home or family and friends.

Q6 – Will I be able to get a job in a florist shop?

Anwer-We have students who have found a position, opened their own florist shop or work from home. You will need to be able to make up attractive floral designs and be a fairly quick worker. Starting a career in the floristry industry is fully explained in the Second Term Manual in the Floristry Course.

Q7- How long does it take to complete the floristry course?

Answer- You have up to eighteen months to complete the correspondence course of three terms. You can also complete the course in much less time if you want to – in six to nine months. When you finish one lesson, you can start the next lesson. One of the advantages of the Floristry Correspondence Course, is that you can work at your own pace in the comfort of your own home. Our unique method of teaching allows you to have specialised training in floral design that you often cannot find elsewhere.

Answer- You can start immediately.
